What is Eurosonic

Eurosonic is part of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), which is the largest professional association of national broadcasters in the world. The Union, whose headquarters are in Geneva,has 75 active Members in 56 countries of Europe, North Africa and the Middle East, and 43 associate Members in 25 countries further afield. 

EBU stations get access to music, via a satellite network which utilizes a digital transmission system to maintain the highest audio quality.

Thanks to this unique network, composed of more than 70 stations and a pool of 500 million potential listeners, the Eurosonic and its partner stations provide a perfect opportunity to promote artists through the broadcast of music events via satellite, hence offering a truly incredibly wide exposure to rock, pop, dance, and world music artists, among many others.


Who are Eurosonic

Every major name in music radio in Europe is part the Eurosonic Partnership. From RUV RAS-2 in Iceland to Radio Russia, from BBC Radio 1 in Britain to ERT Radio 2 in Greece.


Where is Eurosonic

The central office is in Geneva, Switzerland but in reality Eurosonic is based in every radio station in Europe and in every listener's home, led by a small group of radio people
